Komusubi Daikichi is the one of the five linesmen of Deimon High's american football team Devilbats. He made his first appearance in chapter 31 of the manga (episode 14 of the anime), during the Devilbats entrance meeting, where he broke through the door, rolled in front of the interviewers (Sena, Hiruma, Kurita, Monta, and Mamori), and then announced that he wanted to become Kurita's apprentice. XD And after passing Hiruma's Hell Tower qualifying exam the following day, he successfully became one of the members of the Deimon High football team.
One thing that should be noted is that Komusubi never talks in a full sentence. He grunts or makes one-word sentences, and only Komusubi's father and Kurita seem to be able to understand him. According to Komusubi's father, "powerful men can communicate with each other telepathically, without words." (At one point, Komusubi wrote an one-word letter to everyone, in which Kurita was able to make a whole letter out of it. XD) He also has rather strange habits, including carrying a boulder in his school bag for "training."
